Privacy Policy

No legal entity registered. This service is operated by an individual who has not yet registered a company or legal entity. The operator is reachable through the domain registrant information for clauseplain.agen2ic.ai. No privacy policy can bind a legal entity that does not yet exist — these statements describe current practice rather than legal obligations.

What data we collect

When you paste contract text into Clauseplain and click Analyse, the text you submitted is sent to our API for processing. We collect:

Contract text you submit — sent to an AI analysis service (an OpenAI-compatible API) for the sole purpose of generating a clause-by-clause breakdown. This text is not stored on our servers.
Your IP address — used transiently for rate limiting (10 requests per minute). No IP logs are persistently stored.

What we do NOT store

Clauseplain has no database, no accounts, and no persistent storage on any server. Your contract text is processed in a single request and forgotten when the response is delivered. We do not:

Store, save, or share your contract text on any server
Create accounts or user profiles
Track your usage across visits
Set cookies for tracking or analytics

Local storage in your browser

If you use the Save feature (available to all users), your analysis results are stored in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings. The Save feature is entirely optional.

Third-party services

Contract text is sent to an OpenAI-compatible API for analysis. That service receives the text you paste and returns a structured analysis. The operator of that API has its own privacy policy governing the data it receives.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when operational practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
